Maltepe University is a private university founded in 1997, consisting of nine faculties, three institutes and two colleges. Unlike most other private Turkish universities, the language of instruction is Turkish (though the school also includes an English teaching program). Its primary mission is to help students developing critical thinking skills and to provide modern education and freedom of thought.
