The SDA Bocconi MBA is delivered through a variety of methods and tools.
Curriculum In addition to the 5 functional-based concentrations, such as Strategy, Corporate Finance, Investments, Innovation and Marketing, the Program offers participants the possibility to further personalize their development by choosing the new sector-based Track in Luxury Business Management (LBM) in partnership with Bulgari, one of the global players on the luxury market.
One approach, different tools Active methodologies are used throughout the Program. The analysis and discussion of company cases play a significant role, together with traditional lessons, guided discussions, practical exercises, business games, simulations, first-hand business experiences, individual projects, group work, workshops and seminars.
Full schedule Your schedule will always be tight, full of commitments and opportunities. There is much more than lectures and teamwork on class assignments and business cases. Meetings with famous guest speakers, company days, company interviews, outside visits or in-company projects, club activities and the various sports and social events will keep you constantly busy throughout the program.
Highly interactive group work The MBA involves you in and outside the classroom with seminars, workshops, club initiatives, sports, charity events and creative competitions. These activities provide new perspectives and challenges, enhancing teamwork, involvement and responsibility in a multicultural contects with very diverse, talent men and women.
Facilities and other learning tools The MBA Program is housed in a dedicated building with consisting of classrooms equipped with multimedia stations, more than eighty areas for group work and a dedicated wireless system. Each participant must have their own laptop. The Università Bocconi Library offers access to over 500,000 volumes and more than 7,000 periodicals, a collection that makes our Library one of the world’s richest sources of information on economics, finance and management. You will be assigned a personal e-mail account in the Bocconi domain and will have access to several databases containing information on economics, finance and business management.
Evaluation The evaluation system is based on written tests, role playing, projects and classroom work. Participants who complete the Program are awarded the Degree of Master of Business Administration. Exceptional students are awarded a Cum Laude Diploma.
Language courses Because of the international dimension of the Program, fluency in languages is highly valued and the School provides language pre-courses in both Italian and English. Non-Italian-speaking students are also offered a free Italian language course from the beginning of the Program in October until June.

Tuition fee details ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
The total fee is EUR 43,500, to be paid in four instalments: 1st instalment: Euro 10,875 on acceptance of youradmission to the Program 2nd instalment: Euro 10,875 by 15 October 2012 3rd instalment: Euro 10,875 by 31 January 2013 4th instalment: Euro 10,875 by 30 April 2013 The fees include * most teaching materials (although some texts must be purchased separately) * use of the School's desktop PCs * access to the School's databases Funding details ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Financial Aid The School assists candidates with their search for fundind by supplying the necessary documentation and encourages them to explore all scholarships and loans possibilities in time. Bocconi grants opportunities for low-interest loans available to admitted students, thanks to agreements with some partner banks. Furthermore the University provides international students with information about possible sources for financing in several countries.
Scholarships There are several scholarships and tuition waivers offered by the School, as well as by companies, consultancy firms and other organizations. These are usually awarded before the Program begins. Admission to the Program is independent of the award of any scholarship or tuition waiver.
SDA Bocconi School of Management is making available 34 total/partial merit-based tuition waivers and 3 total scholarships to 2012/13 MBA candidates with an outstanding profile. The number and assignment criteria of total or partial tuition waivers are defined and acknowledged by a special Commission whose decision is final and will be notified to beneficiaries by the beginning of the Program.

• In-company Individual Internship To support students interested in securing an internship, the Career Development Service brings onto the campus a select group of companies that offer the opportunity to run an individual project with them. If, after completing the application procedure and one or more rounds of interviews, you succeed in receiving an offer that you accept, you will fulfill your project requirement by working at the company for at least 8 weeks from June to the end of August. Participants may also search for an internship on their own, should this better fit their personal and career aspirations. If so, however, you should secure an approval by the MBA Director upon presentation of a detailed internship proposal. • In-company Group Project Through the Career Development Service, selected companies offer students the chance to develop a full-scale, real consultancy project. Students work in groups of three to six, as a consultancy team, with the assistance of a school tutor, interacting with company staff. Your team has eight weeks to complete the assigned project and provide the company with the innovative and practical solutions they desire. The group project is highly educational, both as a technical learning experience and as an experience working with a team. Participation in individual or group project will depend on a selection process organized by each recruiting company. • Entrepreneurial Project Should you be interested in starting your own company or in undertaking a specific business project inside a company, you may choose the “enterpreneurial project”. Under the supervision of a professor in entrepreneurship, you have the opportunity to develop a business plan, organize a start-up or take part in a company business development project. • Research Project Should you be interested in further investigating a relevant managerial topic of your interest, you may submit a research proposal to the MBA Director. If accepted, you will fulfill your project requirement by writing an original research paper under the supervision of a faculty member.
