Executive MBA in General Management

Program Structure

The Munich Business School Executive part-time MBA program is divided into three terms over a period of 24 months. Each term covers topics from the three major areas of leadership competence, i.e. business know-how, social competence, and self competence. The master thesis at the end of the program allows applying the acquired knowledge in a corporate environment.

Classes take place every second weekend, Fridays from 4 pm to 8 pm and Saturdays from 9 am to about 6 pm. Two international weeks, one at SDA Bocconi and a second at Singapore Management University, add to the international perspective.

Berufsfeld / Zielpublikum

The part-time Executive MBA in General Management is intended for upper-middle and senior-level executives who are seeking to broaden their perspective and are preparing for higher management positions. It is focused on candidates with degrees in areas having little or no business management exposure but who, in the course of their career progression, have taken on increasing management responsibilities.

Today more than ever before, managers need to understand complex global interactions. Technical or academic know-how alone is not enough; the so-called soft skills play an increasingly more critical role in successful business. The MBA program in General Management at the Munich Business School addresses these challenges.

The part-time format of our program takes participants' time constraints and job responsibilities into consideration ensuring you have a continuous, “plannable” workload.

Schwerpunkte / Curriculum

The MBA at Munich Business School is focused on management and leadership competencies and covers three main areas:

  • Business Know-How: Practical knowledge in core economic and business areas such as Finance and Marketing with an emphasis on International Management
  • Social Competence: Communicating and dealing with others, getting ideas across, recognizing and handling conflicts
  • Self Competence: Recognizing one’s own strengths and weaknesses and dealing with them accordingly

  • The mission of MBS is to incorporate these three essential components of leadership in our curriculum and through our teaching.
